Google Apps drop support of IE8!

Today it was announced that in November Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc) will stop supporting IE8. This is astounding as IE9 is pretty solid as far as feature support goes.

As a web front end developer it can be exciting to think about the ease that comes with building with some the latest tags and techniques, but Google’s actions don’t reflect real world necessarily. Trust me, the guy who was testing IE6 (a browser circa 2001) bugs this week.
