My Cup of Tea

I drank upwards of 12 cups of coffee a day during my early work days until late 2005 when I got mysterious stomach pain. Since then I have been a tea man. Tea is the second most popular drink in the world next only to water. It is also the second most popular drink in my household. We are in an unstoppable loose leaf phase. Drink tea. It’s good for you.

Wisdom

It’s been two days since I had my first 2 wisdom teeth removed. No tylenol needed in 2 days, it’s been painless! My dental office might be the best in the world, I got a nice leather dentist chair in the middle of a huge room. All the equipment including the LCD TV mounted above my look state of the art (they offered to let me watch TV during the operation!). The 10′ window in front of me over looked Lake Huron. Everyone that works there is very happy.

I was examining my teeth (pictured) and one of the teeth has a filling. I remembered how weird it tasted at first, but then how I got used to it, so I licked it today to see if I was used to it. Kristi said it was gross, but she’s wrong. I’ve been licking these teeth for years.

I love video games. Yesterday my wife and I decided to download some really old games. Faster than you can say “epileptic seizure ” we were playing some eye-burning, mind-numbing classics. Video games sure have come a long way since the 80′s. If you told me as a kid I would be able to play games as realistic as Counter Strike, or as interactive as the Wii I wouldn’t believe it.

Resolve!

Happy new years. It’s time for resolutions. My wife has kindly offered to help me think of a couple. Among them is a willingness to try new things in my diet. This is going to be interesting since I was already so agreeable. If you have recipe ideas I’d love to hear them: arley at debutcreative dot com.

Ha ha ha?

Christmas is a special time of year. It’s a time when people of different ideals get irked at how the holiday season doesn’t totally reflect their beliefs. Let’s all have a little more tolerance. I know how choked Christianity makes people feel; what with the decorated trees, flying reindeer, and the fat old man distributing toys made by elves. Errr, um… It’s the time of year when some people remember how and why Jesus Christ was born. Don’t be a wet blanket, and quit trying to change Christmas.

Cozy Me

Winter is here to stay in Kincardine. So let me just say to you all; Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentines Day, Happy Ground Hog Day and Happy Easter. We all know this weather isn’t letting us leave any time soon.

Tdot

I spent a couple days working in North Bay from the Benjamin James office. I was given a stunning QOR backpack (I designed the logo in 05). On the 15 hour journey home I stopped in Toronto. I saw many unusual things, but since it was in Toronto, it was standard. By the laws of supply and demand life is cheap in the city.

Arley Scale

This weekend I learned a lot about ergonomics. This after a couple weeks of sore back from my chair. If you ever get the chance to try a Human Scale chair or keyboard tray you gotta try it. I picked up the wicked foot machine with massage beads. Oooh. The philosophy of this company is to keep you moving, which is so different than what we’re used to. It’s really smart, and really good for you and if you spend half the time at a computer that I do you should look at this stuff. http://www.humanscale.com
