Twitter Bootstrap Idea!

February 28, 2012 - By

I love Twitter Bootstrap.

On a couple occasions I have found myself bringing some of the framework’s CSS into existing sites (namely the gorgeous forms) – it always takes a bit of testing to make sure no unexpected inheritance is happening when you introduce new code. I have an idea that might make this testing needless!

One thing that would be amazing to have on the Customize Download page give you the option to prefix CSS selectors with a class or ID (just an input box) – this would allow me to effectively add the Bootstrap CSS confident that it wouldn’t affect anything else on the site; only what is in the parent container with that ID or class.

Just a simple idea that I think would be easy to integrate into the preprocessor that outputs the download.

Cheers! (like, “horray“, not like drinks.)
