Desert Island 5?

March 10, 2008 - By

It’s good to know where music stands in your life. Every Monday(ish) I painstakingly decide which tracks were good enough / played enough to make my top5 for the week. I refer to this list (posted for your convenience on arleym.com) when making my IMP mixes.

I also have selected my desert island top5 albums… if you were stuck on a deserted island with only FIVE albums, could you do it?

I have picked mine based on the test of time; most of these are albums I have listened to since a kid.

1) Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon
2) Moody Blues – Days of Future Past
3) Beatles – Abbey Road
4) Mike Oldfield – Tubular Bells
5) Radiohead – OK Computer

The newcomer Radiohead just beat out Johnny Cash’ – Live in Folsom Prison. For the most part I don’t trust my generations music for longevity… (You know on some neighbouring isle some dufus is rockin’ the timeless classic “The Real Slim-Shadey”)

What are you spinning this week? Comment me and let me know what tracks you’re spinning and what albums you know you could listen to day-in, day- out for a long long lonely time…
