back to bassics

i’ve been dl’ing live vids of bands and have noticed an annoying trend. no bass player action. ridiculous. example: the strokes were on conan, out of a 4 min song i bet you see nikolai for like 3sec total. THEN you got bands like the white stripes who make bass seem optional (i’ll point out 7nation and hardest button are all about the bass that you never see).
my point is this, you guitar folk think you’re so great and all, but the bass is what’s selling subwoofers for idiots in cars… wait. maybe that’s not so good…
