You are what you eat

My old man has always had a lot to say about nutrition and eating healthy, but I’ve never really understood the importance of eating until recently. In his book “In Defense of Food” Michael Pollan dives into the history of man-made imitation foods. It’s terrifying! This is maybe one of those instances where ignorance has been bliss.
The book is summed up with the maxim “Eat food, not too much, mostly plants”. (more…)
