anti-design

this month the awol gallery in toronto is holding the square foot gallery. it’s neat to see the emerging style of our generation. a lot of the work is very conceptual and experimental, a lot of mixed media. my favorites included some wax work, stencils and collage. what dada (anti-art) was to classic art this gallery is to corporate design. i think a lot of the artists like tim are sick of clean design and swoosh logos. worth the trip.

farewell québec

no showers, ridiculous roads, sleeping in a conference room, complimentary escorts, never-ending gay pride parades, hit and runs – that’s right, I went to quebec this weekend. Tim and I decided a roadtrip was in order. If I have my way I’ll never go back to montreal again. maybe we should have let them separate. we were feeling daring so we also entered the high-crime area of canada – parliament hill! photoshots ottawa wallpaper
